Software QC Test Engineer

This position will work with the Quality Assurance team supporting the product development life cycle through design, analysis and testing.  Primary responsibilities will include working with cross functional teams during functional specification review and requirement extraction, developing and executing test suites, and performing white box and black box testing.  Other responsibilities will include test tool design and implementation.

 
Job Requirements:
  • At least 3 years applicable experience in software QA.
  • Strong Knowledge of QA process and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with wired and wireless networking technologies, included but not limited to Bluetooth, 802.11 and Ultra-wideband (UWB)
  • Ability to troubleshoot software defects and identify root cause.
  • Knowledge of one or more automation tools
  • Experience in testing device driver (desirable)
  • Ability to create clear, concise defect submissions
  • Background not only in testing, but also software development
  • C/C++/C# and embedded programming
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

 Windows Desktop Software Engineer

 

Stonestreet One is seeking Senior and Lead Software Engineers to join a highly talented and motivated team. We develop consumer-grade software for Microsoft Windows (XP/Vista), Microsoft Windows Mobile (Classic, Standard and Professional) and embedded environments (ARM, Linux, etc.)  Our software connects people using wireless technologies including Bluetooth, WiFi (802.11), Certified Wireless USB, WiNET and others.
 
Job Requirements
 

Ideal candidates will have…

·       A passion for developing software solutions that real people use

·       Strong C/C++ and/or C# skills

·       BSEE / BSCS or equivalent experience and a minimum of file (5) years software development experience

·       Four (4) years of application development experience in the Microsoft environments including Windows XP/Vista and Windows Mobile 5/6 is preferred

·       Understanding of the inner workings of wireless technologies such as 802.11, Bluetooth, and UWB is desired.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Design and test user interface extensions to existing software packages
  • Design and test user interfaces for brand new technologies
  • Communicate designs to engineering team via electronic prototype and written specifications
  • Interact with business and engineering teams while determining feature loads and priorities
  • Perform usability testing on all aspects of software product deliverables (installation applications and instructions, help guides, product support web sites, etc)
  • Manage day to day relationship with any graphics artists, technical writers, editors, translators, etc. involved in various projects
  • Aid where needed with entire software development and delivery process
  • Rapidly produce multiple possible designs for usability testing, presentation to customers, sales demonstrations, etc; assist with design and creation of compelling proposals and demos.
  • Analyze performance of user interfaces in the field and recommend specific changes for improvement

  • This is NOT a visual design position for graphic or web designers. It IS a software application user interface design position
  • First consideration will be given to applicants with experience in complex multimodal design who approach new projects conceptually and think about system and element interaction, not just screens

Embedded Wireless Software Developer
 
This positions will require a strong background in C / C++, experience writing embedded software applications for embedded processors such as ARM7 or ARM9 and experience with embedded operating systems such as QNX, and VxWorks, ThreadX, ect. Experience with Bluetooth, 802.11, UWB or other short range wireless technologies are a definite plus. Experience / understanding of networking technologies a plus. Candidates should also be well versed in structured software development techniques in a group environment.

Windows and Windows CE Software Developer

 

Candidate must have strong C and C++ skills and should be well versed in object oriented and structured programming techniques. Candidate must work well in a team and be prepared to deal with all aspects of the software lifecycle including QA and product engineering. BSCS, BSEE or equivalent is required.

Experience with Bluetooth, UWB, Zigbee, or other short range wireless technologies is a definite plus. Experience with C# and .NET Compact Framework is a plus. Experience with QNX, Linux or VxWorks is also a plus as is experience with Perl and Subversion.
